Quinn's Hot Springs Resort - A Paradise In Paradise, Montana
Distance from Mt. Forge: 1 hour and 10 minute drive
On the way to Mount Forge from the Missoula Airport you can't help but notice the billboards on Route 93 and wonder "how the hell are there hot springs out here?"
Well they exist, and Quinn's Hot Springs Resort gives you the perfect place to enjoy them. We spent a night at a riverfront cabin during our last trip and it was every bit of relaxation we were hoping for. The cabins sit right on the shore of the Clark Fork River in between the mountains. Each cabin has a wooden porch swing and when we arrived (to a bottle of wine waiting for us) we couldn't help but relax and take it all in.
After enjoying the serenity of the riverfront view, we headed over to the restaurant for dinner. The chef prepared an unbelievable meal. The highlight of the appetizers was the charred brie. The entrees that followed were amazing. I had Elk Meatloaf and Nicole had a steak. We finished it off with the creme brûlée and some espresso. It was delicious from start to finish.
Following dinner we headed over to the main attraction, the hot springs. It reminded me of the hot pools of Reykjavik, Iceland. A very relaxing environment with pools of different temperatures and a full bar right next door. We had some awesome conversation and a few drinks before calling it a night. Back at the cabin you'll see a beautiful train pass by across the river every now and then that will make you feel like you're right in the middle of a Jason Aldean song.
Quinn's is one of the most relaxing places I've ever been to and I strongly recommend adding a day on the front end or back end of your trip to Mount Forge to get some peace by the Clark Fork River.
