Glacier National Park - World Class Fishing

Updated: 7 days ago

Distance from Mt. Forge: 1 hour 30 minute drive (depending on location inside park)

When people think Glacier National Park the first thing that comes to mind is usually epic scenery, beautiful mountains, amazing hikes, serene campgrounds, and much more. What isn't always talked about is how fun it is to go fishing here!

We've only gone fishing here a couple times, but we've been very successful every time! Make sure to head over to Zimmer Tackle before going to the park and pick up some cut bait. We've caught lots of trout on that cut bait!

The shores of Lake McDonald and also where McDonald Creek meets the Middle Fork Flathead River are some great places to go. There are also a myriad of other choices for. We would strongly recommend fishing at the park to give yourself a one of a kind experience!
